SYSTEM: Unplanned Internet Outage

3:40PM UPDATE

Mt. San Jacinto College’s connection to the internet to San Jacinto that all of our services and users depend have been failed over to the internet connection at Menifee – which operates the Student Wireless, Classrooms, and Computer Labs. This will be the case until the San Jacinto internet connection is repaired by our internet service provider and a scheduled maintenance will transition the services back.

The outage occured on May 23, 2013 from 2:25pm until 3:27pm. Services include, but are not limited too, Institutional Website (www.msjc.edu), EagleAdvisor, Faculty and Staff E-mail, Remote Desktop Services, and other district services depend on experienced a loss of service during this time frame.

SYSTEM: Email System Unplanned Outage

May 17, 2013

MSJC experienced an email outage for this morning from 7:25am until 8:13am on Friday, 05/17/2013. The email outage impacted Faculty, Staff, Administrators, and Supervisors. Email services have been restored. Information Technology is continuing to monitoring the servers that caused the outage. The following primary systems were impacted: 

  • Email – Incoming and outgoing email for Administrators, Faculty, Supervisors and Staff. No email was lost due to this outage. All incoming and outgoing email was delayed and queued for future delivery.  Student email was unaffected by this outage.
