SYSTEM: Unplanned Internet Outage

5/28 9:00AM UPDATE

 The San Jacinto Campus’s internet connection was repaired on Friday 5/24 around noon and a scheduled maintenance transitioned the services back at 4:45AM this morning.

5/23 3:40PM UPDATE

Mt. San Jacinto College’s connection to the internet to San Jacinto that all of our services and users depend have been failed over to the internet connection at Menifee – which operates the Student Wireless, Classrooms, and Computer Labs. This will be the case until the San Jacinto internet connection is repaired by our internet service provider and a scheduled maintenance will transition the services back.

The outage occured on May 23, 2013 from 2:25pm until 3:27pm. Services include, but are not limited too, Institutional Website (www.msjc.edu), EagleAdvisor, Faculty and Staff E-mail, Remote Desktop Services, and other district services depend on experienced a loss of service during this time frame.

5/23 3:10PM UPDATE

The issue has been isolated to a pathway to the San Jacinto Campus’s internet connection and our Riverside hop. While that connection is in the process of diagnostics and repair, we’ll be failing our connection for Internet, Email, and Blackboard to the Menifee Campus’s internet connection – which operates the Student Wireless, Classrooms, and Computer Labs.

San Jacinto College’s connection to the internet to San Jacinto that all of our services and users depend on are inaccessible. Services include, but are not limited too, Institutional Website (www.msjc.edu), EagleAdvisor, Faculty and Staff E-mail, Remote Desktop Services, and other district services depend on is experiencing a loss of service. Loss of service began on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 02:25 PM.

CENIC, our internet service provider (ISP) has been notified of our outage.  MSJC support technicians are monitoring this issue and will make notifications as more information is known.
